Whats with the name?

The name’s Mackel Tisa not common? I know! Many love to christen me Mike, Mack, Mickel, Michael but am none of that, just Mackel or simply Kel if you’d like it short, there you have it πŸ™‚ Tisa is Swahili for nine but I wont bore you with how it came about…

So who’s this guy?

You have probably seen me, said hi, chatted, shared a drink or maybe we passed each other with straight faces but still you don’t know you were with Mackel Tisa all along… Being an introvert its a pseudonym I intend to keep just like Pio Gama Pinto did… πŸ™‚ Nuff said.

So how is this Mackel?

That’s up to you to find out πŸ˜‰

  1. Hi Mackel! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I suppose I should update my About section to be as clear as yours, but there’s something about connecting with my readers through written words and feelings than needing to identify myself with a name. Don’t you think names are restrictive at times? But it’s Neary if you’re wondering πŸ™‚

    1. Hi Neary, pleased to finally place a name to the awesome words. From where I come from you need to have a name or something astounding in your physical features people can remember, something that sets you apart, since I can’t have the latter, the name will do just fine :-). Even when playing a mysterious person game, I think names are important, if you don’t give people one nicknames will suffice, and I would have christened you something were you to decide not to tell… πŸ˜‰

      1. I agree that names are important. It identifies who a person is, but to me a name doesn’t necessarily encompass everything about an individual. So when I say I rather be ambiguous as an writer, what I really mean is I’d rather have my readers not simply see a name, but connect with the feelings and emotions behind my words instead. Maybe I’m just a complicated individual lol. It’s interesting to hear from a different cultural context though. May I ask what part of the world you’re from?

        1. That is interesting ambiguity rather than anonymity, you want your identity to keep on morphing with your emotions and feelings at a particular point in time? That is interesting, I am from Kenya, yourself?

          1. Yes, after all a person changes as they experience more of life and the world. Kenya looks so beautiful, I’m from the states. It’s a pleasure to meet you!
